Port Adelaide Series - Part 1 - Sea Witch Images

I've been in Adelaide for about 2 1/2 years now and at the end of October will have spent 1 year living closer to Port Adelaide.  In the course of getting to know my new area better I've been out and about, taking photos here and there to showcase all the great places you can pop into when you're in the area.

I'm starting with a lovely shop in Lipson street, where I'd been brought to by my lovely man on a cloudy sunday after the markets.  I decided to revisit the area a few weeks ago and met with some gorgeous ladies, starting with the proprietor of Sea Witch Images

When you approach the shop the first things you notice are these

Inside this gorgeous facade is a wealth of maritime history in books and photos

All images are copies of original photos and are beautifully displayed along one of the walls of the shop

On your way into the shop, if you turn sharp left you will find yourself in a book room with a plethora of old tomes of the sea...... so many to choose from and a delight to any collector

On top of this they have an extensive selection of old photos of burlesque dancers from the 20's and many old world photos that would add atmosphere to any wall space that needed a bit of spicing up.

As you wander around Sea Witch Images it becomes apparent there is more here than meets the eye.  Beautiful old images from the theatre can be found

for the tv and movie lovers, along the back wall are a series of fridge magnets that cover so many shows, actors and actresses.... all locally made up and printed

From Ned Kelly to the Mona Lisa
Braveheart to the Marx Brothers.... you can find a great present for a friend or family member just on this wall

Hey!  they come with a special price as well!!
And, lastly... for those people you can never find a present for this wall of bits and pieces is worth the look.  I love clippers and this one is more beautiful in person than the photo can create

So, when you are looking for something special for yourself or a piece of history, drop into

117 Lipson street, Port Adelaide
and enjoy some time browsing/buying in

Sea Witch Images

It's open on the weekend too!

love

Sooz!
